The weather was a bit cold and windy when we did newborn Ruby’s shoot, so we decided to reschedule the outdoor family portion for another day. It happened to be extremely hot, but they all did so great… even after seeing a HUGE spider in the tall grass. Little Miss Ruby is the 23rd grandchild for Mom and Dad (Tater’s side). There will be 24 this summer. We are so thankful for the children God has given us and a big family to love and share our lives with. Here is Tater’s brother and his family. He is blessed with girls. ;)

Each girl that we photographed at this session had a dream in mind, and the one written above was just one of them. They were a hoot and full of life. This family reminded me of my family and growing up as one of three girls. As my dad would say in a family full of girls, “3 strikes and you’re out!” Maybe the boys will come later for this family like it did in ours… and who knows… maybe one will be the President!

Hello Friends! We know… it’s been awhile, and we have been neglecting our blog. We will try to catch you up to what we have been up to:

The end of February was a wonderful trip away down to Florida to visit both sets of parents. March held birthday parties galore. We also signed our second child up for Kindergarten registration - sigh. She *does* act old enough for it (she’s almost 16 you know), but we’re not sure we are ready. Hearts at Home was a blast, and I got to enjoy a weekend away with my mom and sisters. *blessed.* Our nanny that we had (when we were expecting our 4th) got married! At the end of March, we enjoyed not being a slave to the time during a week of spring break. And now, here it is already April.

When we were in Florida, we got to photograph some old friends we hadn’t seen in awhile. It was wonderful to spend some time with them and meet their newest addition in their family. Sweet Lily turned 3 on the day of the photo shoot! We got to spend some time together photographing them near the beautiful Sanibel Island.

Recently I had the opportunity to read the book Heaven is for Real (a book recommended by a few people in my life).  I decided to take this adventure with my little boy. It was something we really looked forward to. We would sit down together by the fireplace every night, and I would enjoy the interesting questions and discussions it brought forth. It made us as a family focus a lot more about heaven and what it will be like. What a wonderful place it is going to be!

We do know this:  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

Revelation 21:4

No more sickness…

She first began noticing symptoms when she was pregnant with her youngest. They found it was a rare type of cancer. She has been through a lot these past several years. I have heard from her family that she has had an amazing attitude with all of this, and after meeting her, I know she has a beautiful heart too.

It was a joy to meet this family in this make-a-dif session. They have some of the *most* well behaved kids.

Mommy with her kids. Don’t you love the red hair!?!

Please keep this wonderful family in your prayers.

TRIPLETS. love them! We had so much fun with this session. The family brought a lot of ideas, accessories, and looks for their shoot. There is so much fun in this session that we will be showing it to you in 2 parts.

We love that they wanted to capture the special family times they have reading God’s Word together. What a wonderful thing to remember when they are all grown. The Bible was read aloud. It definitely was a cool moment of the shoot.
More FUN to come on Monday!

Sweet Layne came to us at 26 days old. We were a little nervous as we usually shoot newborns under 2 weeks because they sleep better, but she was a dream for us. We cannot say enough great things about this family. It was our first time meeting, and it was fun to find out all of the connections of people and friends that we have. We are thankful for the new friendships we make photographing others.

Meet big brother who is super sweet to his new little sister.
We love to hear the requests our clients have for us. This was one shot that was requested. We did this shot for our own daughter, and it continues to be one of our favorites. It really puts in perspective how little newborns start out.
Layne turns one month today. Happy 1 month sweetheart! :)
*** Thank you to all who participated in our fall frame sale! We loved seeing the different color and size combinations that were ordered. We were honored to service you! Enjoy your new frames!!!

Do you remember the first house that you grew up in? We had the opportunity to capture moments of this family right before they moved out of the house that they began raising their family in. We captured the details of the home that had meaning to them, and of course got some images of their beautiful kids.

We got to focus the majority of our time on this sweet girl. age 1 1/2.
We love this home’s character and all the details.
This is the ladder that went up to the loft in the boy’s room. :)
