Tears were flowing from our eyes last night as Tater and I read together Saturday’s update on this couple’s Caring Bridge site. It was a year ago that we photographed this precious family, and their fight of this cancer still continues. They have asked for the word to be spread for others to pray for them… as they need a miracle. Please read their story and lift them up to our great God in prayer… to Him be glory for ever and ever. 2 Timothy 4:18

The people we were photographing…

the outfits and accessories…

how smoothly the session went…

everything about it was charming.

We had a beautful morning. The weather was perfect, and the people we were photographing are so special to us. This family was a joy to be with. We loved how organized this mom was. She came up with the fabulous outfits and had everything so organized and ready to go. We’re in love with them and their images.

More baby love…

Little Jade Marie is such a sweet little newborn. She was born weighing 6 lbs. and 1 ounce. Newborns don’t stay little for long, so holding her in our arms was so fun! She was such a sleeper and let us try all kinds with her. We had a blast with her and her family. Also check out her adorable little brothers below. These boys were so obedient, polite and fun to be with. This family is beautiful both inside and out, and we had a wonderful time photographing them!

We couldn’t forget about Charlie… He’s part of the family too.

What a joy it was to be able to photograph this family.  They were awesome, and this little man is such a stud. This mom was so excited about this session and had been planning on it for months!!  We loved the enthusiasm, and it really shows in these images.  Enjoy your beautiful images.

We have many things to be thankful for and family is one of those things. Recently we photographed Tater’s brother’s family. It’s been a late harvest this year which allowed us to capture them in fields around the big equipment. It was fun and (although a very windy day) we loved being down on the farm.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

Psalm 118:1

… to parents that love you unconditionally, do anything for you, and are there by your side.  Seriously, we can never thank them enough!!!

We are blessed to have two sets of parents that always go above and beyond for us and our family. At this stage in our life, we are looking back on how they have raised us, and it has been a tremendous help in raising our own kids.

Below is one set of our parents… Mom and Dad, we love you both so much! You are so good to our kids and make such an impression on them. You definitely make life fun… we never know what the next story will be, the next funny thing that will happen, the next picture you take (you know what I mean) ;) , or what the next email will say. Thank you for always entertaining us. We love how you want to hang out with us, and how that makes us feel so special. Your home is always open to us and when we leave, you clean up our disaster with no complaints. :) You radiate God’s love.

To our other set of parents we wanted to say… Dad and Mom, You are always there for us when we need you. Watching how God has worked in your lives is such a testimony. We love hearing the answered prayers and ways that God is using you and others at the Midwest Food Bank. You always have wise words and direction when we come to you with questions about life. You are always ready to give and do anything for us and provide for us in all areas of life. (including food - i.e. the 3rd supper for us this week that we didn’t have to contribute to or clean up) ;) We love you!

This is my sister’s family… my sister known as my “twin”. Growing up, others would get us mistaken on who was who and sometimes they still do. We don’t mind. Actually it makes a lot of difference depending on how our hair looks…  with our hair the way it is now, we look a bit different. Plus I might add she’s the better looking one. ;) Here are their family shots continued from THIS session.

We still have some openings, if you want to help out a great cause: Images for a Cure

We also got to photograph Katelyn’s side of the family. She is one of 12 kids. This session was decided the day of. Props to this family for having everyone available, getting everyone there, and having outfits coordinated SO last minute. For as many of them as there are, they were so well behaved, super kind, and so much fun to be around.

(”T” family ~ We could feel your love radiating all around you. You are such a blessing!)

This next shot was requested by dad. The kids were not so excited about the line up, but we are SO glad that we did this shot. We had never seen them all in their birth order. So fun to see! (Thanks you guys for participating) ;) LOVE it!

The boys outnumber the girls in this family. As you can see from the image above, the last 6 kids were boys. Here are the beautiful sisters…

I bet their family get togethers are so much fun. It is so great to see the friendships between siblings… they all were taking care of each other. With this big family, there is a whole lot of love.

We believe in God’s awesomeness, His ultimate healing, and the power of prayer…

Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.” Psalm 66:20

The power of prayer… That is why we want to share with you this family’s story. They covet your prayers. They’ve been given a difficult journey to travel on. This husband and father of two precious little girls is currently battling cancer. For those of you who are reading this, please take a moment right now to stop and lift them up to God in prayer. If you don’t know what to pray for, you may pray for a miracle of healing, strength to overcome the tough times, wisdom in deciding the appropriate medical steps and decision making, and a true/pure joy during their times together as a family.

Next week they will be traveling to Mexico for alternative cancer treatment. Please continue to keep them in your prayers during this time.

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6

Jordan and Katelyn,

Thank you so much for letting us photograph your beautiful family. We become so connected and attached to each and every client of ours, but our hearts feel especially bonded to you.

As the images were edited, we watched your faces and the love you have for each other come through on our computer screen. Tears have been shed… prayers have been said…   Not knowing what the future holds, we do know who holds the future.

We lift your burden of what you are going through to God. You have become a part of our lives. You have touched our hearts, and you are such an example of what it means to love, honor, and follow God.

Jordan, we love the verse you shared on your site“…so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body…” Philippians 1:20. Christ can definitely be seen and magnified in all of your lives. Jordan, Katelyn and girls… We lift you up to the throne of God, and we love you all so much. May you treasure these images always.
