The weather was a bit cold and windy when we did newborn Ruby’s shoot, so we decided to reschedule the outdoor family portion for another day. It happened to be extremely hot, but they all did so great… even after seeing a HUGE spider in the tall grass. Little Miss Ruby is the 23rd grandchild for Mom and Dad (Tater’s side). There will be 24 this summer. We are so thankful for the children God has given us and a big family to love and share our lives with. Here is Tater’s brother and his family. He is blessed with girls. ;)

Introducing our newest little niece

We are so in love with her already! She was born on my sister’s birthday weighing in at 9lbs and 6oz. She was such a sweetheart during her newborn photo and slept the entire time. Welcome to our family Ruby Clare!      xoxo

Here is little Jude man from THIS session. It was so wonderful to meet this little one. He was one of the strongest babies we have photographed, and here he is at 6 days old. Isn’t he precious?

Sweet Layne came to us at 26 days old. We were a little nervous as we usually shoot newborns under 2 weeks because they sleep better, but she was a dream for us. We cannot say enough great things about this family. It was our first time meeting, and it was fun to find out all of the connections of people and friends that we have. We are thankful for the new friendships we make photographing others.

Meet big brother who is super sweet to his new little sister.
We love to hear the requests our clients have for us. This was one shot that was requested. We did this shot for our own daughter, and it continues to be one of our favorites. It really puts in perspective how little newborns start out.
Layne turns one month today. Happy 1 month sweetheart! :)
*** Thank you to all who participated in our fall frame sale! We loved seeing the different color and size combinations that were ordered. We were honored to service you! Enjoy your new frames!!!

We’re happy to show you our new little nephew. Cruz William

Coming from a family of 3 girls, he will be passing on our family name in a way (Kruse). There is a story behind this little guy, and we are so thankful to be able to see the hand of God in it:

My sister and husband have 2 sweet girls already. The pregnancies of these girls were not the easiest. All births are miracles from God, but my sister’s last delivery was truly a miracle. To make a long story short… My sister’s uterus ruptured, and she went in for an emergency c-section. My little niece came out blue and not breathing. It was very scary! Any future pregnancies would be high risk. Feeling like their family was not yet complete, they prayed about adoption. God placed a peace in their hearts for a little child in the states. They had no preference in race or gender. They just wanted the child that they knew God wanted them to have. And so their journey began. It definitely was one of ups and downs… opened and closed doors, but they held fast and continued to rely on God and be patient in Him. This past month, God revealed their new little blessing to them, and they were able to go and get their new little boy. We are thankful for the life that his birthmother gave our family, and we continue to pray for her. I cannot imagine such a sacrifice.

Tim and Jessie, You are such great parents, and I know you will make a difference in Cruz’s life. We are so excited for you, and we all love him so much already!! Enjoy the pictures of your new little man! :)

Below is how he was the entire shoot. AWAKE. We tried all of our tricks, and he just wanted to know what was going on. It was too funny. My sister said he is a very alert newborn so she was sweet enough to come by another day and try again. Any asleep pictures were round 2 of the photo shoot.
His big sisters adore him!
The night we did the shoot it was *very* hot. They endured the heat well and all did great!
Cruz, we love you so much!

Meet Reagan. She is total sweetness. She was as perfect as could be for her newborn photo shoot. Here she is 8 days old.

We first met this awesome couple last October when Tater started his new job.

Check out the puckered lips.

Her hands were so fun to play with. She would grab onto things (like her toe below) or gently leave them where we placed them.

This is how she was for the entire shoot. Totally out. loved it.

We love getting to know families and share in their special moments of life. This family was no exception. They are such a kind and wonderful family. Here is their new and precious addition. Meet Cooper.

Recently I had the opportunity to co-host a baby shower for one of my best friends. She has done so good throughout the years at throwing the best parties for other people that I wanted to do something special for her.

We knew that she was expecting a boy, and we were so excited! We had to postpone the shower date back a little as she got put on bed rest and the little dude made an earlier appearance than expected. :) We were excited to be able to have the new little baby (Dylan Edward) at the shower.

Here are all the shower details:

Pom-poms were hung above the eating tables. Click here to find out how to make these.

I was having a girls day with my mom and sisters, and my sister pointed out the flowers that were sitting at our table at Cyd’s. They were made of napkins. I was going to do fresh flowers for the shower, but this inspired me to try something different. The napkin flowers are made like the poms.

I was checking google reader one day as I was planning for my shower and ran across one of my friend’s posts. I took the advice that others had given new moms and used those as table decorations.

We had a slideshow of all her maternity images playing at the food table.

I got a new Macro lens for my birthday, and I’m in love.

The cupcakes were from Janet’s Cakes and Catering and oh so yummy!

Daddy’s will do all kinds for their little girls. I will never forget when my dad surprised us and made this Barbie house for my sisters and me. He used wall paper and carpet from our own house so that the house resembled our house growing up.

I have many fond memories playing with it. I love that from now on - everytime that I look at this doll house, I’ll remember how small my little girl once was…

Tater recently made these doll beds for the girls. It made me so thankful for the love and effort he put forth in hand making something special for them. Building these doll beds… singing to the kids before bed… tickling and playing with them… the list could go on - He is such a good daddy. I have been blessed to have exceptionally great men in my life.

*The adorable purple tutu outfit is from our good friends Ryan and Amber who knew that their photography friends would love it… and we do!

We never know what the day ahead holds. It always seems to be an adventure with us, and we mainly are the cause of all the unexpected craziness…

like when we ripped out our drywall last week in the kitchen just to fit in our fridge that we already had measured for…

or when we were up till the early morning hours right after Paisley was born making about 10 pies to use up these bushel of peaches. No matter what we do though - we continue to laugh at ourselves and meanwhile make a lot of memories.
