This year’s valentine card for school: We went the easy route and used pictures that we already had. We didn’t dedicate an entire session to Valentine’s Day like last year. Have a happy day!

… or so we thought. It is hard balancing 4 kids, a photography business, Tater’s medical career, and life in general, so we told my parents that we were going to take this year “off” from doing their Christmas card. To say my mom LOVES pictures is an understatement. She definitely takes more pictures than all of us, and we are always asking her for her pictures. :)

As Christmas got closer, I noticed that she totally understood our situation, but I knew she wanted one done. As we thought about our parents and how blessed we were to have them, I realized, “How could I not do one for them!?!”… They do so much for us!!

I love watching my parents with all of these kids. My dad who sits on the floor playing ball or tickling them. Just the other day he was playing hide and seek with our girls and all I heard was giggles. It was priceless. My mom who makes them fun snacks and now I hear my kids say, “Will you turn my pbj sandwich into a flower just like grandma does it?” She also does a fantastic job organizing family get togethers and meeting the needs of all the kids. We are so blessed to have fantastic parents, and our kids are blessed to have them too! So here we go… this year’s Christmas card for them with their 10 grandchildren… that really did happen. :)

It’s time to party! She just turned 3, so we celebrated her birthday Bubble Guppie style. Here is her 3 year old photo shoot and a peek into her Bubble Guppie birthday party.

… that we are not showing you the 200+ pictures that we loved of her shoot, but we figured while we were editing these, we would put some up.

As a reminder, we are booked for the remainder of this 2011 year. We are currently booking January - April sessions. Please contact us if you are interested. They do book fast as we only do a few sessions per month. Thanks!

We had to capture the artist in her. This was her expression when she realized we were taking out her oil pastels for her to color with.

I stop and look around at what God has provided for us, and I cannot help but to be in awe. He has given me all of the desires of my heart, and to Him I am so thankful.

I think back to the 7 years that I patiently ;) (ha-ha) waited for Tater to be my husband. I see myself today living the dream I had always dreamed. We now have 4 wonderful blessings together. These kids give us so much joy and love. I remember the day that we were told it would be hard for us to have kids. Well, God provided for us once again. We are so blessed. Thank you God!

While we were in California, I knew that I wanted to have our family pictures done since THIS PICTURE was our most recent family photo. :) I seriously just googled photographers out there and found Julie with Julie Campbell Photography. Julie also has four kids, was a former teacher, and of course does photography, so I felt like I knew her already. Well, we had a blast at our session! It was a fun change for us to be on the other side of the camera.

Below is a slideshow of our session. Julie did an amazing job capturing our family today. It warms my heart when I look at the slideshow and see all of God’s blessings around me. Thank you Julie!

Photography and Video: By Julie Campbell Photography

special thanks to:
Julie and her husband Tim - for “freezing” the ages of our kids right now in pictures and for giving us this incredible gift.
Mom and Dad Kieser - for watching the kids on the beach so Tater and I could get our alone pics.

I’m just getting around to editing some summer pictures of the kids. After an enjoyable evening in downtown Bloomington doing Landon’s photo shoot, we set the girls down to grab a few of the entire group. Even though their outfits were not planned and it was totally impromptu, I smile when I see this one. Have a great weekend friends!

We recently came home from a trip to California. We went there for my friend Tara’s wedding. It was so beautiful! You can check out a bit of the wedding on my friend’s blog: Tami Paige Photography. Tara was the most organized and detailed bride I have ever known. Everything was so well thought out. When we arrived to our resort, she had a gift bag waiting for us with a sweet note and goodies inside. She had given us so much information to make our stay enjoyable. She listed out restaurants, shopping, attractions and so much more. We used that information, extended our stay and enjoyed a fun family vacation while we were out there. Tater and I went to the beach early one morning to take in the California beauty around us. It was a fantastic getaway!

I remember the excitement I had when I received my class list for my first year of teaching. It was for first grade at Peoria Christian School. I remember looking down at all of their pictures. They seemed SO little to me. I was so excited to find out about them and their personalities.
I remember the nervousness I had as the first day of school began. I wanted to be the best teacher for these kids.
I remember the students as they came into the classroom. Some entered the room joyfully while others clung to their parents unsure of what was ahead.

As the school year went on we made great memories, friendships, and hopefully I taught them something along the way. My room moms were awesome, and I still have to this day an album that they made me of pictures throughout the year capturing fun moments that we had.

Believe it or not, my 1st first grade class is now in high school and they can drive!!!! I seriously feel that it was yesterday when I watched a special little boy run out to his mommy everyday after school and give her a hug. That “little boy” is now all grown up, and I am friends with him on Facebook. It is crazy how life changes and how quickly time goes by.
I had 3 wonderful years of teaching first grade, and I am so thankful for the students that I have been able to keep in contact with. Those kids have changed my life, and I am so blessed for the memories that they have given me.
Here is my first class of 1st graders in front of the school. Here is my second year of teaching. This was jog-a-thon day.My third year of teaching. It was the 100th day of school. Shortly after my third year, Tater and I moved to Bloomington and began having children of our own.

Now OUR little boy is entering the 1st grade world. I know how quickly time goes, and I am sad but happy for him to begin another school year. Pretty soon HE will be in high school with his drivers license, but until then we are capturing and enjoying this time in our little boy’s life!

He loves to run! Being a boy… He does it well considering he lives with a lot of girls. His notorious monkey run. He seriously runs like this a lot and goes really fast.

is where we did her photo session. And the pictures continue…

Her eyes lit up when she saw this area.
She asked to stand on top of one of the tree trunks.
